Central Nervous System

Our sites understand the complexities of CNS trials and have expertise in neurology, psychiatry and sleep disorder studies.

Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders represent a significant percentage of ongoing clinical trials, due to a combination of unmet need and market potential. Yet these studies are highly complex, progress relatively slowly through clinical development and regulatory review, and have lower than average success rates in clinical development due to their often subjective endpoints and a high rate of placebo effects. Because of these complexities and challenges, it is important to select investigators that understand the CNS clinical trial process and have experience treating these highly specialized patient populations.

The Elite Research Network includes investigators board certified in:

Neurology

Psychiatry

Sleep Medicine

We also have psychiatry raters with experience in cognitive testing scales including ADHD-RS, BCME, Conner’s Patient Rating Scale, HAM A and HAM D. Our Sleep Medicine sites have not only investigators and study coordinators but registered sleep technicians, scorers and raters, as well as state-of-the-art sleep labs equipped with polysomnography (with and without CPAP), multiple sleep latency testing, and maintenance of wakefulness.
